doTERRA Lime Essential Oil

Lime is known as the oil of zest for life! Makes perfect sense to me since Lime adds so much zest to every drink or dish I have had. I really love limes but here in Japan, they are a bit pricey, to be honest. I love to use lime when I am making homemade salsa with the amazing amount of tomatoes we tend to harvest from our gardens every year. I usually add 1-2 drops depending on how big of a batch of salsa I make.

Lime is so revitalizing when feeling blue or exhausted. I use it during my menstrual cycle for a pick me up if I am feeling like I am just dragging through my day. It helps pick me up and gives me more clarity on what I am doing. I have heard that it is also really helpful if you are feeling faint, so perhaps it would be wise to have a little sample bottle of Lime on you at all times. I like to use the little clip on doTERRA mini bags that clip onto my purse and can hold up to 8 or more 1ml sample bottles.

Lime blends really well with other citrus oils like Bergamot, Tangerine, Kumquat, and Orange. It also blends well with Rosemary, Black Pepper, Melissa, Spikenard and Joyful Blend. Using Lime in your diffuser will definitely uplift the energy in the room and possibly make you hungry for Mexican food.

Lime can boost your energy and courage so it may be a good one to use in the palm of your hand, rub and inhale before a speech or getting on a Facebook Live!
