Nature Mandala

I have been having some rough days… last night and today was full of anxiety and strange feelings. I should have gone outside after all my morning meetings to be in nature. Being around plants and fresh air always help me. But I didn’t and I pretty much suffered through my day, until I pulled myself together and used some oils and chilled out!

Something to learn is to not let other people’s opinions ruin your day. I am slowly learning how to take care of myself, especially when someone’s opinion or the way they handled a situation doesn’t settle well. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, no doubt. But.. I personally believe we would live on a much better planet if everyone learned how to approach a subject from their heart, not in an obscure way that could hurt another’s feelings.

With all that said..here is a nature mandala I created last weekend in a park near my home. Autumn colors are brilliant in Japan and I feel so blissed out after creating with all these colors.

Cypress The Oil of Motion & Flow

I have really opened up to Cypress essential oil. It truly shows how to trust and go with the flow in our daily lives. It is so easy to say just “let go” but to actually “let go” is not that easy. I believe that Cypress is a go-to oil for when you feel stuck, restless and unsure of what is to come and it can assist you in letting go of what ever you are holding onto that does not serve for a higher purpose. It’s fresh earthy aroma is said to help create feelings of security and grounding. Women’s Wellness

It’s time for Tuesday sharing! I am all about wellness and when I started 2016 I had decided it would be my year of creativity and wellness. In January 2016 I signed up for a program called Body Bliss. Step by step or should I say Key by Key I have made some very important changes in my style of living.

“It’s a 12 part online membership program that offers you a feminine approach to Yoga, Fitness, Nutrition, Self Development and Lifestyle.” -Shivani

I am a true believer that making life changes takes a lot of patience and self love. Shivani takes you on a 12 part program (12 Keys) that opens your heart and helps you move into small transformations that you use daily. Her style is juicy, passionate and playful. It’s also helpful that she keeps in mind that we are all busy these days, the “Bliss Breaks” are only 9-15 minutes long. Easy to fit into your daily schedule and well worth every minute.

“I am flowing into loving my body, letting go of the monkey mind and being here&now with the Body Bliss rituals. There is an art to being a woman and Shivani will awaken your feminine bliss.” – Heather Minowa

Wednesdays Essential Oil Choice

Every Wednesday I will be sharing oils that I hand-pick from my collection. They will be something that relates to how I am feeling and they may be very random.

This week I chose White Fir & Bergamot. I just ordered the White Fir for my husband because it seemed so “manly” to me. I have not used it till today and the choice of adding it to my diffuser with Bergamot was very interesting.

Bergamot: The oil of Self-Acceptance.

Bergamot relieves the feelings of despair, self-judgment and low self-esteem. Building confidence, optimism and self-acceptance.

I found this to be interesting because I am in the middle of drawing a mandala for my internship and totally got distracted with feeling really low about how the drawing was turning out. Which is basically the opposite of what one “should” feel when creating mandalas, but it happens and it happens often. Many people get very self conscious when they are drawing, especially if it is something they do not do often. Even I have feelings like this and I draw almost every day. These feelings are quite normal and I believe that paying attention and nourishing these feelings when they come up is very important. That is why I knew in that moment it was time to chose a nice blend for my diffuser so I could carry on with my artwork.

White Fir: The Oil of Generational Healing

White Fir addresses generational issues. Patterns and traditions are passed down from family member to family member. Some patterns are positive, while others are negative and  destructive. White Fir assists you with creating new pathways. It helps guide you in breaking these patterns and helps individuals stay true to the path of healing.

The aroma of this blend is very different, like nothing I have smelled before. There are layers to it, I like it. I think it is really interesting to just choose two oils randomly and see how the blend turns out, and then take the time to read up on those choices.

I often use this wonderful book Emotions & Essential Oils A Modern Resource for Healing for guidance when I am curious as to why I chose certain oils.
